What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation During Urination?

default
Posted on Sat, 28 Jan 2017
Question: I have pain while urinating and burning sensation for a month now. I visited couple of urologists who suggested that i should get a circumcision done. However this pain is towards the back of the penis and I feel not related to circumcision. Also I have viral warts.

I then visited my homeopathy doctor who suggested i may have a stricture because of my burning sensation felt till legs, pain in lower abdomen and now since 1 week cold feeling in the groin region and part of legs. He suggested a urethrogram, however the same has not been done as no other urologist have suggested the same. Infact all of them have advised against doing the same.

My KUB ultrasound, routine urine tests and Uroflowmetry have come back normal.

Please advice

Brief Answer:
You should follow advice of Urologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain while passing urination

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) How is your stream is it weak or normal?
2) Do you have to strain to pass urine ?
3) Are you able to retract your foreskin completely over glans penis without any pain ?
4) How is your meatus (Urethral Opening) , is it stenosed or normal wide open ?
5) Will you upload report of your ultrasound Scanning ?

Homeopathy has very limited role in such cases. Any Urologist for that matter is well experience in this field and handle such cases in their routine practice hence his advice is to be followed .

Though you have pain in shaft of the penis it is likely to be due to back pressure in urethra.

Please feedback the information I have asked for .I shall address your problem to the best of my knowledge and expertise.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.

1) How is your stream is it weak or normal? At times weak at times normal.
2) Do you have to strain to pass urine ? not really.
3) Are you able to retract your foreskin completely over glans penis without any pain ? no i cannot at all retract my skin over the glans and only tip is visible
4) How is your meatus (Urethral Opening) , is it stenosed or normal wide open ? it is not widely open. it is slightly stenosed maybe
5) Will you upload report of your ultrasound Scanning ? The ultrasound report is not in my hands as it was done in a different city than i am in. However it says normal study and all urologists say the same.

I pain is always at the particular point at the back of the penis slightly after the glans and is only felt on passage of urine or if i try to touch it there. When i try to touch it also, the pain is not always there and seems to move around the point. The pain is also on passage is urine flow is strong and not felt on light urine flow.

I would like to mention that a month back when i first felt discomfort, i had actually pressed hard at the point and really squeezed that place.

I am following what urlogist has told me and that is circumcision. However they have said that i can wait approximately a month. However i continue to feel that this problem of infection etc. might be independent of the pain in the back of penis.

Please advise.

Is infection of the urethra different than UTI?

The pain seems to be at a point. Is it possible that while pressing the area hard as i mentioned before i may have damaged same blood vessel nerve etc. If so, how will this be diagnosed?

Yes, i am following my urologists advice. Any other advice from your end?

Regards

Brief Answer:
You have Phimosis with secondary UTI.

Detailed Answer:
hello
Thanks for feedback .

You have Phimosis and the only treatment option is to get circumcised .

This is a simple surgery done under local anesthesia as a out patient procedure and offers permanent cure and helps to have enjoyable sex for rest of the life and prevent getting frequent episodes of UTI.

Thanks and Regards.
