Brief Answer:
probably no physical problem, let me know more

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

Whatever you had done to hold ejaculation would not cause any damage likely. The bad feeling at that time made you anxious about erection likely.
After that incidence you have difficulty in getting/maintaining erection while you tried sex. This is likely due to anxiety.
To clear the situation let me now more information.

- After that incidence do you have any pain or difficulty in urinating?

- After that incidence did you masturbate? If yes what did happen?

- Is there morning erection present after that incidence?

- Is there any pain or discomfort while you go for sex or masturbation?

I will be happy to help you further after your response.

Thank you for helping with my concern. Yes there a slight burn when I urinate. I have gotten a couple of morning erections but not as strong as before it's like a soft hard. And ya I tried masturbating after the incident 2 times but I had bout 60 percent erection each time and lost the erection. But no pain when I tried having sex or masturbating

If it's just anxiety do u have any suggestions to overcome it?

Brief Answer:
likely it is anxiety, urine investigation is required

Detailed Answer:
Sorry for delayed response.

Thanks for information.

Slight burning while urinating may be associated with urine infection. Drink plenty of water. Go for urine routine micro examination and after that if needed antibiotics can be taken.

Following points suggest that your current problem of failure in sex is psychological/due to anxiety.

- Morning erection is present thought not strong.

- 60 percent erection while masturbation. Normally person does not aware about erection size while he masturbates or does sex. He just wants to enjoy orgasm. You have mentioned your size in specific figures this means you are conscious about size when you masturbate. This attention leads to loss of erection.

To overcome this anxiety understand and follow the below information.

For good erection constant exciting erotic feelings must be present in mind. If your mind is diverted to something else apart from sex, erection is going to lose. Many times due to fatigue, stress, physical problem or excessive workload man cannot perform well in sex. This is not permanent failure but only occasional problem. In your case due to that episode of holding ejaculation you became anxious likely. When person becomes apprehensive about occasional failure and constantly thinks about his ability to do successful sex while he goes for sex his mind diverted from exciting/erotic feelings and penis loses erection. This anxiety might be responsible for failure of intercourse as well as masturbation. This is called performance anxiety.
This is purely psychological problem, no physical/pathological problem at all.

To come out of this man must not think actively about maintaining erection or arousal while doing sex.

To get rid of performance anxiety help of partner is also an important aspect.
Whenever you go for sex, spare enough time in foreplay. You should not think actively about erection, your mind must be occupied with sexual/romantic feelings. During foreplay your partner should try to arouse you and note that your penis gets erection or not. When she feels that penis is sufficiently erect she herself should try to put erect penis in vagina gradually and you should continue your foreplay feelings without being conscious about erection. You must try to enjoy and only enjoy. Once penis is able to enter in vagina and strokes starts it is easy to complete successful sex.

If your partner is not aware about this situation you can do on your own. You just should try to do sex without being conscious about erection. Enjoy without thinking of your ability to maintain erection.

Other option is low dose clonazepam or lorazepam before 2 hours of sex. This anti-anxiety medicine will reduce your apprehension and make you relax to have successful intercourse.

And last but not the least if you face problem after above measures another option is 5-PDE inhibitor group of drug like sildenafil or tadalafil. You can take it before 2 hours of sex for good erection. After 3-4 successful attempts you will have confidence and you can do without help of medicines later on.

Hope this answers your concern.

Brief Answer:
first try your own without medicine with relax mind

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is good that you are going to see your doctor. I recommend to try without medicines for 3-4 weeks. Almost 50-60% of patients with such complaints get back to normal sex life without help of medicines.
Later on if no satisfactory improvement, go for medicines as described previously. Which one is used first that you can decide by discussing with your doctor.

Hope this answer will help.
