What Causes Nausea, Abdominal Pain And Vomiting?

Posted on Wed, 16 Jul 2014
Question: Hello, I have a GI question. I was sick a few weeks ago and went to the ER. They did a CT Scan of my abdomen. The doctor told me there were Pockets in my colon/intestine and sent me to a GI doctor. I had a Colonoscopy last week. He said he saw no Pockets but did see ulcers in my Ileum and also Adema in my intestines and wall thickening in a few places and did a biopsy. he said they would call with the results this week. The office called this morning and said the doctor wanted to discuss the results with me. I have Lambert-Eaton Syndrome and had a clear PET Scan in April. what are the chances of tumors being on the outside of the intestine in the spots where the Adema was saw inside. Very curious as the CT Scan saw Pockets and the Colonoscopy showed none but I'm at high risk for cancer..

precise problem was nausea, abdominal pain on the left side and vomiting. the only GI problem I've had is colitis. Bowel Movements are about 12 per day. all liquid or runny. I am disabled for the LEMS. I do not have a biopsy report as I have to wait til next week for the results as he's on vacation. the only thing I have from the Colonoscopy is what he saw. Adema in the large intestine in 4 areas and ulcers in the Ileum. that's all it said

Brief Answer:
Try a good probiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for the information

12 BM a day is not acceptable and the fact that you are disabled with LEMS, I would suggest you go for a good probiotic

If this does not work, try racecardotil it will help reduce frequency and a stool examination will help us suggest a safer GI Antibiotic for you

Oedema is synonymus with collitis and the pathology of ulcers can be ascertained only after getting the biopsy report

Hope this helps
