Brief Answer:
Cramps are due to lack of minerals.

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam,
Cramps are common problem in post menopausal females. It can be caused by lack of calcium, salt and weakness of muscles. I would suggest you to get few investigations.
1. Serum calcium and vitamin D
2. Serum b 12 estimation
Till you get these tests done I have following suggestion to relieve cramps.
1. Daily calf stretching exercises.
2. Take proper salt in diet. If you have cramps drink a salty lemonade.
3.Take calcium and vitamin D3 daily to make strong muscles and bone.
4. Tablet carnisure after discussing with your doctor.
I hope these measures will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. I will try my best to help you.
Thanks
