Brief Answer:
Thrombosis of leg's blood vessels,go to ER...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You have been staying for eight and half hour plane ride and the blood did not circulate well in your legs. That's why your foot was swollen.

When blood is not circulating properly, it is easier to get blood clotting (the hard lump), especially when there is predisposition. Blood clotting has closed the blood vessels of the leg which has stop blood circulation to your feet, leading to black and blue toe.

Immediate consultation with angiologist is needed together with:
- Doppler ultrasound of the leg's blood vessels
- complete blood work
- clotting testing (INR, prothrombin time, etc.)

in order to start immediate treatment. Go to ER if you cannot manage to schedule an immediate appointment with angiologist.

Wish fast recovery!
