What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Indentation In Stomach After Childbirth?

Question: I have lower abdominal pain which began after the birth of my third child 5 months ago, and today I noticed an indentation in my belly just below my navel. Any ideas?

Is it constant, intermittent ?
Spasmodic or dull aching ?
Where exactly is it located ?
Does it have any relation to periods, meals etc ?
Are your cycles regular ?

The pain is constant, dull aching- feels sort of like a pulled muscle. It is in the center of the lower abdomen above my pelvis. I am nursing and so haven't had a period in over a year. This particular pain has no relation to meals, etc.

Please get ultrasound scanning done.

Detailed Answer:
Can you post photos of the indentation ?
Have you had any abdominal surgeries ?
Please get an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound scan.
This could be ovarian pain.
Again, it could be adhesions if you have had any surgeries.
A hernia is also a possibility.
You need an internal exam by an OB - GYN and scans as mentioned.
