What Causes Lightheadedness And Blurred Vision For A Period Of 30 Seconds?
Question: I experienced a feeling of light-headedness and uncontrolled vision for a period of about 30 seconds. This has happened before about a month ago. What could that be a symptom of?

Lightheadness and blurred vision is seen in many patients after 70 years of age. I will explain to you why that has happened and what to do next.
1.At old age our natural reflexes are sometimes weak that usually maintain blood pressure and blood supply to the brain. So that might be the problem. To solve that you should avoid prolonged standing.Drink or keep with you lemon water with salt to avoid this problem.
2.Low blood sugar may be the problem sometimes that will cause similar problem. Just check your kidney profile, Fasting and post meal blood sugar levels, CBC, so that your doctor will come to know any precipitating factor for your low sugar.
3.Our main 2 vessels which supply brain can be sometimes narrowed and will cause Lightheadness and vision problems. So I advice you to go for CAROTID DOPPLER STUDY in which your doctor can see if there is any narrowing which is responsible for your problem.
