Brief Answer: Tension headache Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for the follow-up information. The headache that you are describing appears to be the tension headache. The fact that it may occur on both sides and may stay all day long on and off and has been so since 6-8 months , all go in favour of the diagnosis. I see many such patients in my clinic and they respond very nicely to the combination of Amitriptyline 25 mg and chlordiazepoxide 10mg taken every night for a few weeks. Also you may try some relaxation exercises like Jacobson progressive muscle relaxation and yoga. Try starting some hobby and take out time with your family. Hope I am able to answer your concerns. If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you. If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback. In future if you wish to contact me directly, you can use the below mentioned link: Wish you good health, Kind regards Dr. Srikanth Reddy M.D.
