Sometimes babies may not pass motions for several reasons like inadequate feed, thick formula, etc. There may be other causes too. Does she have any other symptoms?

Mostly there is nothing to worry and the baby passes stools. Milk itself is the best laxative. Please make sure that if she is being formula or other sources of milk other than breast milk, then it should not be thick. It should be prepared according to the recommendations. Please also note than she cannot take solid food at this age.

We can try home remedies like tummy massage. I personally recommend the ILU massage. This massage is done by stroking gently and forming these letters on the tummy of the baby. You can easily learn it from google. Giving the baby some tummy time also helps. The baby should kept on tummy for 1 - 2 min under supervision.

Apart from this if the symptoms do not resolve then lactulose syrup can be tried.
