What Causes Joint Pain, Weakness And Fatigue While On Levaquin?

Question: Once in a while I get what I have had the past 3 days. I have suden joint pain, weakness, and fatigue. I recently finished a steroid for back & lag pain,and have also been taking levaquin for a UTI. I get UTIs a lot. Could these symptoms be a result of one of the meds I am recently taking? When I got these symptoms in the past, my blood work has always come back normal.

I am so sorry to hear about these aches. This is a recognised side effect of levaquin. This is why it is advised to drink much water and fluids during treatment as this drug can affect tendons; ligaments and muscles. This generally resolves as treatment comes to an end. Exercise some patience and all will soon return to normal.

Thanks for your answer. I have another question, I've had little twinges of pain in the left chest area today-nothing that big. It has come on 3 times today, only for about 30 seconds each time. Should I be concerned?
