Brief Answer:

Possible diagnosis: Seborrheic dermatitis

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Itching, oozing, and scabs on the scalp are likely seborrheic dermatitis, commonly called dandruff. You can use over the counter ketoconazole 1% and salicylic acid 3% shampoo to clear up dandruff.

Shampoo frequently and lather for longer for effective results.

If you do not notice any improvement in 12-14 days, follow up with your primary care provider. You will need prescription strength shampoos and ointments at that point.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
