Question: I have found out I have 3 hot spots in my brain I had an mri done because, I have balance issues and lack of depth percepton, also loss of limb movement and weakness of the limbs and poor circulation, clumsy and sometimes I have total body numbness to the point I can't get out of bed. When I was 13 I was diagnosed with something but I can't remember what it was called and the doctorsecond now can't find it a lot of my medical records were destroyed how would I go about finding this out

I did have an M R I done my doctor has the report I have an appointment after the holidays I will ask for a copy then. I keep missing my neurologist appointments. My problems have worsen.or I can have my doctor fax it.

I think you did not get my point.Let me explain it better.I really don't understand what do you mean by 'hot spot'.
'Hot spot' is not a medical or radiological term used to describe MRI findings.Sometimes, radiologists or doctors may use this term to explain the patients about abnormal brain areas.However,I can actually get to know only after looking at the MRI,about the characteristics of the lesion.
An area being described as a hot spot may be a contrast enhancing lesion or having edema,or radiological activity of some other type.
Till this time,the impression I can make of a 'hot spot' is that it must be some active lesion.

So,that's why I am insisting to have a look at the MRI to understand this 'hot spot' and guide you well further.
