What Causes Hyperalgesia?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Feb 2015
Question: My skin hurts to the touch in different parts of my body at different times. Recently it was on my testicle.
I went to a doctor, out of town as I was away on business and he thought it might be shingles, but in fact their was no rash just a burning sensation and he gave me medicine and also a solution. I did the solution and the next day the brown skin on the testicle peeled off. I am now having an issue in my lover back to the left.
This has been going on for awhile and now I am going for blood work on Monday but am trying to figure out what this is.

Brief Answer:
Avoid local application of the solution to scrotum

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

I understand your query and concern.

The symptoms in your case could be due to hyperalgesia.

This is due to localised nerve hypersensitivity.

Shingles is unlikely in the absence of rash.

The peeling of the scrotal skin could be due to allergic reaction to the applied solution on the scrotum.

I advise you to have tab Pregabalin 75 mg once a day for 5-7 days under prescription of your doctor to reduce the skin hurting at various zones.

Thank you.
