Question: Hello doctor,

I am 37 years old male. I am suffering with type -II diabetic for last 5 years and I am using GLYCOMET GP- 1 MG one in the moring and one in the evening for the last 3 years. In January,2015 i was having some allergy on my skin over shoulders and under arms. I met my doctor and he changed the tablets to BLISTO 2MG morning and evening 1 tab each and VOGLIDAS-0.3 in the afternoon. After changing the tablet my skin irritation improved more. In the last vistit my doctor told me that if in case the skin race is not reduced even after changing the tablet, I may have to use insulin by injection. But i am not willing to go for it. I would like to know whether there is any alternative for insulin with tablets.
I am also suffering with Hi B.P and using the tablet TELVAS-40 daily one tablet.
Further i also bring one thing that i met an accident on 2nd January, 2015 got three stitches on my knee. I USED ANTI-BIO TICS FOR 15 DAYS. I forgot in my first message.

Brief Answer:
You can use Glycomet GP1 for 3-4 weeks more.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir, I had gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Dear sir, your sugar levels in the latest report you mentioned on 8th feb. are higher than normal. So you need to increase the dose. You were previously on glycomet GP-1 and fasting sugar levels are slightly above normal. You can use the same tablet rather than any change and see regarding diabetes. Or you can increase the dose after 3 weeks of using Glycomet GP1 and even then if sugar levels are high. As of now don't worry of insulin.

Your recent problem is allergy. Please mention whether it is itchy, any colour change or any small swellings. Use Tab. Avil and see for a week. Best thing to be done is to meet local Dermatologist for correct evaluation.

Hope this guides you. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
