Brief Answer:
in most cases this is benign

Detailed Answer:
hi and welcome.
In most cases we see benign processes such as oedema, papilloma, polyp or throat inflammation. In some cases there are hypetrophic changes in uvula caused by smoking or alcohol drinking. So you should not expect something serious, but of course ENT examnation must be done and doctor will decied if excision and hystologic analysis is required depending on size and look of this lesion. WIsh you good health. Regards
