First of all, it is sad that you have been facing this issue lately. It is quite a common problem, with our stomachs not been able to digest high protien meals since proteins digestion starts from stomach which has most important role in digestion of meat.

The kind of symptoms, likely feeling gaseous distention or bloating is a sign of indigestion.

All you need to do is to ensure few steps. Try not to lye flat after eating lunch meat or deli meat. Try to walk few steps. Stay proped up for a while. Try not to overload yourself upto fill capacity. Try avoiding carbonated drinks along. Avoid greasy foods along it.

Try variety of meals, to balance your requirements and to meat your digestive abilities and monotony can be cumbersome.

Also make sure, you steam roast or heat deli meat atleast to 170 F.

You can also use tablets like domperidone which increase stomach emptying and give relief with gaseous issues.

You can also use omeperazole or other antacids, which will also give you symptomatic relief.
