Question: I am 33 years old....I have always had a very irritable stomach, but lately, everytime I eat I am in the bathroom within an hour. I am always tired, and am starting to lose some weight. I had a colonoscopy two years ago, but my symptoms are a lot worse now

Brief Answer:
Abdominal echo/upper endoscopy/stool examination advised...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

1. Having frequent bowel movements within 1 hour after eating is indicative for possible cholecyst issues apart gastritis/ulcer.

I advise to run :
- abdominal ultrasound
- upper endoscopy
- culture of stool
- examination of stool for ova/parasites

to determine the right cause.

2. Feeling tired is due to frequent bowel movements. I advise to :
- eat often, small portions and chew up slowly
- avoid fatty, spicy, chilly foods
- take probiotics to normalize instestinal flora
- take antacids to optimize stomach pH.

Hope it was of help!
