Brief Answer:
Possible conjunctivitis:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Infections that affect the respiratory tract, such as certain cold viruses, can also cause conjunctivitis (pink eye). Usually there are also increased secretions with pink eye.

It's possible that if you are tired/fatigued from the cold that they could just be blood shot without infection.

Given that you have a cold, I suggest you use very warm wet compresses on your eyes to try to thwart any progression to full conjunctivitis. I have headed off conjunctivitis in myself and my daughter a few times this way. Stand over the sink and keep rewetting a washcloth with water that is hot but not so hot it would burn your skin. Apply this to your closed eyelids. Do this several times a day for the next day or two.

The heat will increase the temperature of the outer eye, which makes it less favorable to the germs. Also increases circulation to those blood vessels which helps to decrease risk of infection.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
