Question: Went to ER excess weight gain in belly area they took blood, did ekg, chest x-ray sonagram of organs.determined excess water retention. put me on Lasix on the 16th of dec. could altitude be a factor came from 3600ft to 5600ft 4 months ago

Yes, it can be related altitude,particularly if rise has been rapid (in short time). Body and mostly cardiothoracic system takes time to acclimatized.

So give it few days and everything should be fine, assuming that there is no other health issues.

People with hypertension, liver,lung or kidney issues are more likely to suffer from such symptoms or they take time to acclimatise. So if symptoms persist for long (more than a week ) get tested for these organs.
