Brief Answer:
Many possible causes for light-headedness.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

There can be many causes for light-headedness. You yourself mention one possibility which would be the diet you are conducting. Remember one should eat at least 1200 kcal per day (depending on your physical activity even more). Also should pay attention to stay well hydrated and not to skip meals.

If you've been doing all those things and are convinced diet is not the cause then some blood tests should be done to screen for causes like anemia, infections, metabolic alterations, tests such as complete blood count, blood glucose, liver and kidney function, electrolyte panel.

If such tests come back normal then low blood pressure and heart issues like arrhythmia or valve conditions which can alter blood pressure should be considered by blood pressure measurements supine and standing and through tests such as ECG and heart ultrasound.
