Question: I read about balance. My ears do not hurt. I have a bad right knee. But,
when I start to fall over it starts all over my body. I hardly made it last night.
to my bathroom, I could not walk straight at all and bumped in to my vanity,
door and I had to grab the counter or I would have fell over.
I think I will die soon. I have lost 35 lbs. but need to lose 20 more. I will if I live.
My upper Aorta is 4.5 now. Plus I have some leaky valves. My doctor is the most
popular and best one in this whole area.
He has seen me for 15 years. But, now I can't drive and I have a caregiver once a week to clean house. My daughters will take me to the doctor but I hate to ask them to do it. Sorry for writing so much, but that doctor treated me so bad and I did not get over it yet. Thanks.
Brief Answer:
Need to be investigated well
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The dizziness or loss of balance could be due to two reasons usually.
One, Veritgo due to defect in the balancing organ present deep in the ear called vestibular apparatus. Though there is no ear pain you may have to get examined by a ENT specialist to rule out the same.
The other and most probably cause in you is decreased blood supply to the brain. This I arrive at by considering your defective circulation due to defects in the heart. I suggest you to consult your Cardiologist and get a 2D echo test done and determine the Ejection fraction EF. If EF is less then your symptoms can be considered secondary to heart problem.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
