Question: I am having problems in swallowing for the last six months. do I need to worry?

it is increasing slowly and in the beginning it happened with liquids now sometimes with solids also. I get up at times at night with choking. I only smoke occasionally. You think it is serious

Get Endoscopy done.

Dear Friend.
Yes I am worried.
Progressively increasing difficulty in swallowing needs to be evaluated for either Malignancy or Reflux Disease.
I would advise you to get an Upper GI Endoscopy done. Also get a chest Xray done.
This would clear the full picture.
Till then you can start on a combination of Pantoprazole and Domperidone once a day.
