default
Posted on Tue, 26 Apr 2016
Question: Hi I am female, XXXXXXX 35 Years, 5.6 Ft., 70 Kgs, married for 6 years. Never conceived. Thyroid normal. Prolactin was 150 last year in May and then treated by doctor. Trying to conceive since then with CCQ50 and then progestrone oral tablets for last 15 days of cycle. But no benefit. Tried earlier without any medical help for 2 years. Nothing happened. Doctor now advised to try without progestrone for 3 months as prolactin is normal. Tried and got period delayed by 4 days naturally. Earlier had a problem of delayed period every month by 5-6 days counted from last 1st day. 3 months back prolactin was found increased by 20 units and treated again. What to do? I have developed facial hair and Grey/Brown acne like groth on hand and neck. Please help with suitable test, Lifestyle, Treatment.

Brief Answer:
Follicular growth scan required

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about infertility.

Following is my reply :

1) You need to get basic investigations done for infertility.

2) Please get hysterolaparoscopy test done to check if your fallopian tubes are open and there are any problems in your uterus.

3) Get your husband's semen analysis done.

4) If both above tests are normal, Please undergo regular follicular growth scan to check if your eggs are improving and ovulation is happening

5) If ovulating get IUI (intrauterine insemination) done. You are already 35 and I don't want you to waste more time trying naturally.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Hi, I have undergone the tests mentioned above. Also, every month the ovulation test is conducted by my doctor and there have been 3 months when the eggs were grown to good size. Also, my husband has got his semen tested thrice with good count and motility. Please suggest if artificial insemination is the only way out?
