What Causes Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Headache And High Grade Fever?
Question: hello i m suffering from loose stools, vomiting ,stomach ache and headache... i also have high grade fever of 102 during night hours since 3 days... my report shows widal test negative and lft shows sgpt 60 and sgot 42... what's the diagnosis???

the symptoms you have mentioned is suggestive of gastroenteritis. the levels of enzymes SGPT & SGOT are slightly elevated, which is indicative of possible infection of liver as well.Since you have also mentioned that widal is negative, it could be due to amoebiasis, a parasitic infection or it may be a case of typhoid as well, as sometimes salmonella typhi the organism causing infection cannot be detected and hence widal negative.
However, you will require antibiotics and further investigations like stool microscopic analysis and most importantly, you need to be evaluated clinically. Hence I suggest you to consult a physician.
