Hi and thanks for your query.
Your wife seems to have developed food poisoning.
Oral rehydration with ORS dissolved in clean drinking water is the mainstay. Alternately gatorade can also be taken for rehydration. This has to be taken as driven by thirst and after every loose motion or vomiting.
For vomiting tb ondansetron upto 2 - 3 times a day can be taken.
Other medicines like antibiotics or diarhea stopping medicines will not be helpful.
Home cooked food can be taken.
