Brief Answer: Ranitidine effervescent tab gives instant relief Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for writing me. Curds and sugar are usually safe and healthy for your bowel. However he might be having gastroenteritis if there was any contamination co-incidently. I were to advise Tab.Histac AVT (ranitidine effervescent tab) in 100 ml of drinking water to be taken after the tablet dissolves. This wil relive his gastric symptoms/acidity. Advise him to take rest, avoid spicy, fatty food. He may wish to have food an hour later after the medication. Advise him to take oral rehydration solution (ORS) only if he has increased bowel movements and feeling tired. I would start on antibiotics only if the stool are foul smelling and increased frequency after a stool examination/ analysis. Hope this answers your query.
