Hi,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

You apparently don't have any of the red flags associated with your head injury like loss of consciousness, clouding of consciousness or any other neurological deficit. It indicates that your injury has not caused any brain damage.Skull fracture would have caused a lot of tenderness and pain.
However, you are very anxious and it is important to settle your anxiety. So,I suggest you to get it examined by a general surgeon.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to answer else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

My question is what is the possibilities that it can be without any symptoms of a concussion i'm not asking you to diagnose it and just ask what are the possibilities of what the dent/crack in skull are with no symptoms of concusion

Its possible.

Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
Ok..I got your question.

It is not necessary that a skull fracture always presents with the symptoms of concussion.Sometimes, skull fracture will only present with pain and tenderness at the fracture site.Sometimes with a bluish discoloration around the fracture site.

Sometimes, subtle fractures may be detected only on X-Ray(sometimes on CT scan) of skull.

Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

Some of the common complications/dangers of skull fracture are-
1)Epidural hemorrhage causing brain damage due to pressure effects-it may cause clouding of consciousness and focal neurological deficits.
2)Sinus venous thrombosis-clotting in some of the major brain vessels
3)Periorbital blood collection-Raccoon eyes
4)Brain and meningeal infection-like meningitis
5)CSF rhinorrhea
6)Blood in the sinuses
7)Paranasal sinuses and ear damage

It may just be soft tissue injury, overlying the skull.
