What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Negative Pregnancy Test?
Question: Hi doctor, I hope you are well. Doctor, I was using contrapectoves but I have not got my period. I am always on time 27/28 day cycle. Today is the 30th day. Could I be pregnant? I did a pregnancy test it came negative. Or could it be just hormones all over the place that's why I didn't get my periods. After my delivery I was getting my periods on time every 28 days and also he's not breastfed,. I tried a lot but he just doesn't want he screams. I'm just thinking what if I'm pregnant again? Is it too early to take a test now? If I take a blood test tomorrow which is day 31 will it appear?

if you have taken the contraceptives regularly during the last cycle then you are protected against pregnancy and the delay in periods can be due to hormonal changes in the body. At day 31 it is a bit early to test for pregnancy using a urine test card. Do wait till day 33 at least and test early morning sample of urine to rule out pregnancy. You can get a blood test done tomorrow. it is more accurate and can detect the pregnancy on day 31.

Thanks doctor for your kind response. We were using condoms and pull out method. Iv been getting perild like cramps alot of discharge and water discharge. Urine is dark yellow this morning. Im so confused my head isnt working i dont know whAt to feel as i just had a baby i feel scared happy confused i think il go tomorrow and get it tested so i know where i stand.
