Brief Answer:
Colonoscopy and investigations after treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read the history and understood the problems you have.

To recapitulate and correlate:
Cramping- urge- pressure in rectum - relieved 80%- apricot colored small stool with clear white mucus- smells like a baby stool- weight gain in abdomen- no other symptoms - in a person who is a female of 57 years...

I would advise the following in a person having the above mentioned problems.
A course of Metronidazole and an antibiotic for 5 days- if there is a relief well and good. This is a prescribed medication.
If there is no relief, investigations should be done to know / rule out the cause::
Routine blood, urine and stool tests.
Colonoscopy and biopsy if necessary.
CT scan of the abdomen preferably / ultrasonography is of less value.
This will help for getting the diagnosis and plan a correct treatment. Considering your age and symptoms Colonoscopy is a must.

It looks the weight gain ( in the abdomen) may be due to hold up of stools / liquids in the intestines or as may be found on CT /USG .

I hope, this answer helps you to give a guideline for treatment and investigations ASAP. Please feel free to ask for more if you need to. You may please rate this answer.

Wishing you early diagnosis and curative treatment.
