What Causes Constipation And Burning Sensation In Anus After Waxing?

default
Posted on Tue, 29 Dec 2015
Question: Hi, I have been taking antibiotics for past 5 days and my stools today were hard and there was unusual urgency. It was very painful passing stools- a burning sensation. The anus area felt tender for hours after. I have just had a Brazilian wax tonight including my bottom. It still felt sore so I used a mirror to look and can see a small amount of tissue protruding from my anus. What should I do? Will it go away on its own?

Brief Answer:
This is hemorrhoid.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

The tissue you are able to see is nothing more than a hemorrhoid. You mast have it before, just not visible. Hard stool has caused pressure in this area and protrusion of the hemorrhoid.
Antibiotic intake can the reason of stool pattern change. Its because antibiotic kills good intestinal bacteria. Lack of this bacteria is a very common reason of stool problems.

Once hemorrhoids appear, wont disappear no matter what you will do. However you can make them painless and invisible for some time. To do that please follow this steps:
- start OTC suppositories for hemorrhoids
- have sitz baths with Oak Bark
- wash your rectum after every stool
- do not push hard on stool
- start probiotic and fiber intake

This should help in a week or so. If not, please consult proctologist and consider surgery.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

Thank you. I am aware sitz baths are eniugh water to cover affected area- is it ok to fill the bath, that would be more pleasant. Also, is it absolutely necessary to get suppositories straight away or could i wait and see if it becomes invosible in next couple of days? If it didnt resolve on own i could then get suppositories. Thank you for yoir detailed answer.

Brief Answer:
You may wait with suppositories.

Detailed Answer:
If you fill the bath, the amount of active substances will be much less in the mentioned area. So this is not a good idea.
Suppositories are not absolutely necessary. You may wait and see.
