Brief Answer:
There might be a mild urinary infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. If you have got tested negative for STDs at 5 weeks then having a STD is less likely.

2. Since you had tests for HIV at 3 months which were negative therefore HIV is unlikely.

3. The commonest causes for tingling in penis is mild urinary tract infection. If you drink less water then there is higher tendency of developing such infections.

4. Please drink adequate amounts of water. You might drink cranberry juice for three days and watch for your symptom to subside. Cranberry juice helps in mild urinary infections. Please maintain genital hygiene.

5. If your symptoms persist for over 3 days even after drinking cranberry juice then you should consult your doctor for investigations suspecting infections that might require a course of antibiotics.

Hope your query is answered.
Please write back if you have any doubts.

Thank you for your response.

Just some background as to why I went on for STD testing. I had an encounter with a stripper with brief genital contact, no penetration and brief oral. This occurrence was 5 months ago. I was very nervous as I'm getting married soon so I obtained std testing at 2 weeks, 5 weeks and 3 months. The testing at the 3 months was for HIV. My doctor as well as reading Dr. Hands field forum, basically stated it is very rare that I contracted any std. In any case, at no point did I have any symptoms and tested negative for all tests.

About 6 days, I had rough rubbing with clothes on, no contact. Since that event my penis has been feeling off. No lesions or blisters not any sign of std, just nervous and may be overreacting.

From my research and asking my doc, it's rare that I contracted herpes and my symptoms don't suggest herpes. As from what I've read and told, that a herpes event will cause symptoms within 3 weeks of initial exposure. To date I have not had any symptoms.

Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Herpes does not cause symptoms in most people who are infected. Herpes infection is best tested by doing antibody test at least 30 days after exposure by which time 70 percents of herpes infected people show detectable amount of antibodies using standard tests.

2. Herpes infection is a possibility only if the stripper had oral or genital sores during the incident. It is possible for a person to be herpes infected and not have symptoms. For confirmation, it is suggested that a person gets antibodies for herpes tested 30 days after possible infection and you have already done that.

3. Rough rubbing with clothes on is never a concern for HIV or sexually transmitted diseases.

Hope your query is answered.
