What Causes Constant Pulsating And Pressure Feeling Behind Nasal Area?

default
Posted on Wed, 22 Jun 2016
Question: For 2 years now I've got constant pulsating and pressure feeling behind my nasal area and top front teeth. I've had 2 mri scans Ana a ct scan. The ENT doc said I have no sinus problem. I bought the scan results from the hospital and this is what it said = there is bilateral mucosal thickening of the maxillary sinuses, more evident on the left side. The left maxillary infundibulum is obstructed. There is also minimal mucosal thickening of the frontal sinuses inferiorly. Should this be treated. The head pressure is getting me down. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Chronic sinusitis is a suspicion

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Three sinuses mucosa are thick which clearly suggest sinusitis. Infundibular obstruction can be a case in chronic sinusitis. other possibilities of a polyp etc should also be ruled out. I would like you to use decongestants , nasal corticosteroids, anti histamines and supportive care like steam inhalation , humidified air breathing in room , avoidance of allergens and pollens and drinking adequate fluids. See if it helps and talk to another ENT and have a second opinion. Because if its not sinusitis then some other pathology like polyp etc should be considered. Mucosa don't thinken for no reason.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
