What Causes Calf Pain Post Quintuple Bypass Surgery?

default
Posted on Wed, 18 Nov 2015
Question: I am a male age 84. I had quintuple bypass surgery Dec.5, 2014. since that time, I have had pain in my right calf and thigh, after walking a short distance. The pain goes away when I rest. but recurs as soon as I resume walking. I know they stripped veins in both legs, but the left leg does not bother me. I have had some problems in the past with pain in my right hip.

Brief Answer:
This is probably relayted to artery blockage in the legs!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I have reviewed your information fully and am convinced that you also have blocked arteries in the keg seen the extensive of the bypass surgery. This is very much in line with your symptoms. I will suggest that your doctors do an ultrasound of the lower limbs to detect the exact problem and what treatment options would best address them.

There are medications to aid with this and am sure you are already on some because you have had a bypass surgery. Please, report your list of medications to me for review as well.

In all, your symptoms are in line with blocked arteries. Talk to your doctors and get this suspicion conformed for treatment purposes.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
