Brief Answer:
Please provide more information

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I really appreciate your concern for your brother
At the outset I would like further information for better assessment like
Is he running a fever, sore throat or coughing ?
Is he having symptoms of acid reflux like heart burn or regurgitation or heaviness in stomach ?
has he seen any doctor or advised any investigation
Does he smoke or take liquor?

Meanwhile please follow these guidelines
He can take acetaminophen with pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs for 2 to 3 days. Pantoprazole is a prescription medication in many places to you may need to speak to your doctor to buy it.

Ask him to avoid fried and spicy food
Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables
Ask him to do deep breathing exercises and steam inhalation

Please write back to me with these details so that I will be able to tell you more accurately
Best wishes

Hi Doctor,

Thank you for the quick reply..

More details below:

He doesn't smoke or take liquor. At times he feels acid reflux and some heaviness. He feels headache and heaviness inside the head. He does exercise and he walks for almost 7-8 Kms every evening. He hasn't consulted any doctor for last 15-20 years and so its a bit difficult to get him to a doctor. Its tough to make him understand the seriousness of the illness..

Please help me with some more detailed awareness of these symptoms..

Thank you
doctor

Brief Answer:
Please consider these guidelines

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome again and thanks for the details
Since he can very easily walk for 7 to 8 kms every day without any major difficulties and leading healthy life style so In my opinion you need not to worry much about him

He might be having acid reflux or stomach hyperacidity
Please follow the guidelines I have advised in my previous reply for 5 to 7 days, I am sure he will feel better
In case if he doesn't find any improvement then I would advise him for further investigation like X ray chest and and X ray Paranasal sinuses to find out the underlying cause for his symptoms.

Hope this answers your question
Best wishes
