What Causes Burning Mouth Syndrome?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 Dec 2014
Question: Hi. I believe I have Burning Mouth Syndrome. I've been tested for vitamin B deficiency and Sjogren's syndrome which were negative. I have no blisters or bumps and no white patches on my tongue. This burning has affected my tongue, lips, and throat a bit. After researching it, I fit all the criteria. I'm postmenopausal, suffer from anxiety/depression, the burning gets worse as the day goes on almost unbearable by evening. I've had this for 3 months now and can't imagine having it for months or even years. My PCP hasn't even heard of it. She referred me back to my neurologist who treats my migraines and she could only suggest using Biotene mouthwash, but I don't have a dry mouth. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

BMS is multifactorial and may need long term medication. Don't use single drug above higher dose .

Use other drugs like anesthetic antacid syrup like mucaingel & Multivitamins minerals antioxidant syrup like zincovit also. Your local doctor will know about these drugs.
