What Causes Body Sores, Headaches And Stiff Muscles?

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Jul 2014
Question: Hello ... I've had this internal infection that moves around my body for about 10 years now. It has phases. One phase is where it moves around my body and settles and makes that area of my body sore. Like right now it's in the middle of my back. It was in my upper back. And before that it was in my neck and head. When I apply heat, the soreness seems to go away a little bit. When it was in my neck and head, I had terrible headaches and my ears were sore to the touch. Right now it's in my back and if i make a sudden move my muscles in my back will contract and I'll have to stop to catch my breath. The next phase is where the soreness will subside or go away and then i'll get little pimple like sores in random areas of my body. Although mostly on my left foot. little pockets of yellowish liquid will form under the skin on the bottom of my left foot. The pockets are very itchy. I've seen many doctors about this over the years, but they only give me a cream to address the pimples and pockets of liquid which does make them go away and heal but they do not do anything to address the first phase where this infection is moving around my body. I have noticed that once I was given antibiotics and everything went away for an extended period of time but then came back.

Brief Answer:
let us find the focus of infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read and re-read the history provided by you.
10 years is a long time and by this time you must have undergone many tests.

The few important ones I though to get a diagnosis are as under.

BLOOD::: Hemogram, liver function, thyroid function, Kidney function
Urine routine , microscopy, culture and sensitivity
Ultrasonography of abdomen to find out any focus of infection
X-ray Chest - again to ind out focus of infection.

Blood culture and sensitivity is a very important investigation to be done during every attack.

Examination of the fluid from the pockets -routine, microscopy , culture and sensitivity. And any special examination on the clinical picture your Doctor / Dermatologist will feel it necessary.

I would also like to have CT or MRI of your left foot as this is affected every-time.
It is possible that it is harboring a ''focus of infection''.

All these test will help you to get a proper diagnosis and guide for a proper treatment.
