What Causes Blood In Stool Post Colonoscopy?
Question: Dear doctor, i had a full sedated colonoscopy in XXXXXXX and everythinh was ok. A month ago, i started having bright red blood qhen i wipe and on top of my feces. It isnot every.ialso had a polyp removedbefore the colonoscopy when i was pregnant and had hemorroids. Iwentto the doctor a week ago and she did a rectosigmosdocopy and everything was fine. Ao, what can this be? Can it be cancer?

I think it would be unusual if this were related to some type of cancer. I suspect that this might be due to some internal hemorrhoids which may be coming and going from time to time causing your symptoms.
I would suggest that you try a fiber supplement on a daily basis as this might help soften your stool's and avoid aggravation of any hemorrhoids which may still be present.
You could use any over-the-counter fiber supplements such as Metamucil and I would recommend that you take it on a daily basis for at least several weeks. This may lead to gradual improvement in resolution of your symptoms.
If you continue to have bleeding however I would recommend that you revisit the issue with your specialist. A repeat colonoscopy might be considered but I doubt you will need that type of procedure.
