Brief Answer:
This can be due to post nasal drip or sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

I can understand your concern.
Bleach like taste of cough can be due to post nasal drip or sinusitis.
I would like to know if he is running fever also and what medication he is getting currently.
The management is gargle with warm saline water ,steam inhalation and antiallergic if he is not getting it.
I would like to get him evaluated by a physician to rule out sinusitis and/or post nasal drip if any.

I hope this helps
