What Causes Black Spot On Face?

Question: I have a black dot on the side of my face slightly below the skin. It looks like an ice pic mark with a black dot at the end of it. I have tried to pick it numerous times over the last few months and it doesn't seem to budge. I am getting worried that it might be something more sinister.

Hi.

I have reviewed the Image.

This seems like an 'open comedone' Or a 'blackhead'.

I suggest that you use a topical retinoid e.g tretinoin 0.025% cream Or adapalene 0.1% gel, once daily at night. These are comedolytic.

Or else

You may get the comedone extracted with a comedone extracter.
