What Causes Black Dots On My Penis And Testicles?

Question: Hi Doctor, im 29 male. I found 5-6 black dots ( spots) on my penis and testicles. It is there from the past 2 year. Its not hurting me, there is no change in size. My question is , are these spots are harmful ? need any treatment to cure it?. i am really worried and embarrassed with this problem. I want to hear your comments, suggestions.

Brief Answer: These are multiple Sebaceous Cysts. Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have multiple sebaceous cysts over penis and scrotum. The penile and scrotal skin is rich in sebaceous glands and hence prone to get more sebaceous cyst due to accumulation of sebum beneath the skin. Normally they fade away without treatment however they need to be treated if increase in size or get infected. Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical evaluation and to confirm the diagnosis. Brief Answer: No treatment is required Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for follow up. You do not need any treatment as long as you do not have any symptoms or they get infected or increase in size. They fade away themselves over a period of time. Just observe proper personal hygiene by cleaning your genitals twice daily. with warm water. Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil.
