What Causes An Enlarged Lymph Node In The Inguinal Area?

Question: Hi there,

I have a question about groin pain and sexual health.

6-7 weeks ago I had unprotected sex with someone I know. Since then I've been really paranoid that I've fought something but haven't shown any symptoms. However around 4 days ago I started to get a dull ache in my left groin. My testicles feel fine, and nothing seems overly swollen but my groin definitely has a constant mild ache. I'm showing no other symptoms, no pain when urinating, no leakage, no cloudy urine, no irritation or marks and I don't feel unwell. Still the pain has prolonged for several days now. I intend to get myself checked out but could this be chamidiya..?

Any advice would be really helpful.

Brief Answer:
not likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

Swollen lymph node in inguinal area may hurt and it may happen due to infections in genital areas or uroinfections. However, you would have some other symptoms so I don't think this is STD, but if you have any concerns, screening testing for STD should be done.

Wish you good health.
Regards
