What Causes A Lump In The Throat While Suffering From Sinus Infection?

default
Posted on Tue, 4 Apr 2017
Question: I had a sinus infection back in November, went to the doctor and he said my left lymphnode was swollen, because of being a little hypochondriac as I had thyroid cancer back in 2011 which the symptom was a small lump in my neck, I have since been rubbing on the lymphnode and now I can see it a little bit and its swollen and sore under my jaw, I compare it to the right side which doesn't seem sore, my gut is I rubbed it to the point of causing it to swell, I am scared to go to the doctor because I think it might be cancer, what are your thoughts?

Brief Answer:
It is likely due to sinus

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details.

So the most likely cause of node enlargement would still be a sinus infection. I would suggest you to take a course of antibiotics for a few days. If node subsides, very well. Otherwise, go for a needle aspiration test. That will determine the nature definitely.
