What Causes A Bruise Behind The Left Leg?
Question: I have a bruise behind my left leg...almost directly behind the knee (where the knee bends about 5 inches up). It has a lump in the middle of it, white in color. I don't know when I developed it. Any ideas?

A cyst or varicose vein.
Detailed Answer:
This picture does not help much as it is blurred.
However in my opinion it looks like a ruptured varicose vein or ruptured Bakers cyst. In both cases you may wait and see. The bruise should disappear in a week or so.
It would be good to have an ultrasound of this area in a meanwhile. Cyst can be removed by an orthopedist. Varicose vein does not need any treatment if you do not have any pain.
