What Causes A Blockage In Nose While Breathing And Productive Cough?

default
Posted on Thu, 12 May 2016
Question: While lying on my back either sleeping or exercising, when I try to exhale through my nose more quickly than normal, I have a blockage that feels like a flap has dropped into my nasal passage. I also cough up hardened mucus from my throat every other day. This has been going on for over 2 years. I have been tested for allergies with no results. Any idea of what could be causing this issue?

Brief Answer:
May be due to nasopharyngeal mass

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query; it suggests that there is nasal obstruction during exhalation, may be due to the nasopharyngeal mass.

But to rule out other diseases, better to go for nasal endoscopy and if necessary you may also go for the CT scan of nasopharynx.
