Brief Answer:
Stays for 12-14 hours after a single dose

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear.Thanks for your query.

Ambien(Zolpidem) has a very short half life of 2.5 hours and after a single dose it takes 12-14 hours for complete elimination from the body.

I would not prescribe it for more than 2 weeks at a time since it causes dependence/abuse.

Withdrawal symptoms include physical withdrawal symptoms which accompany psychological anxiety symptoms. Less frequently, more severe symptoms, such as seizures.Other symptoms include mood changes, abdominal cramps, vomiting, shakiness, fear, apprehension etc.

Hope this answers your query.
