What Are The Withdrawal Side Effects Of Adderall?

default
Posted on Fri, 5 Sep 2014
Question: My doctor has had me on Adderall for a while, but I will not see him for another month.
My prescription runs out tomorrow, yet he will not see me until he returns.
Is there anything I can do in this situation. And, since I pretty much know the answer will be no...
Will I have withdrawals from this, and how bad can they be? What can I do?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????
:(((

*** He claimed that I was abusing my meds, and that we had a problem, and would discuss it on my scheduled appointment when he returns. (over a month from now) According to him, he wrote a prescription that would last until the appointment. This is NOT true! I called the pharmacy about it, and they agreed 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!! with me!!!!!!!!!!!!! - The prescription was for 30count 10mg tabs - directions were - "Take 1/2 to one tablet by mouth every morning and every evening. He claims it was for 60-90 tabs."

I don't know what to do!!!!!! I cannot get the prescription called in, as I'm sure you know.
It must be hand-delivered.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no money, but I REALLY need my meds.

MD is XXXXXXX Burns (Franklin, TN) who should be barred from the profession. He is VERY unprofessional!!! And, I think his age has caught up with him, and he is incompetent.

Brief Answer:
Only solution is to stop

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

You would know that Adderall is a schedule H prescription only and addiction causing drug. Only through a hand written or attested prescription you can claim them.

For now the only solution is to stop the medication in a tapering manner. I shall help you in formulating a tapering course with what medications left with you. This way you can avoid withdrawal effects and you can always restart the medication in future.

Please mention the number of tablets and dose in each tablet.

If medications are too less, then you can take Xanax or Zolpidem to fight the withdrawal effects. You may have to consult a GP for the same.

Waiting for your response,

I can't take the Xanax. I asked why he reduced my dosage from 60 (1mg) tabs per month to 30, and he just sat in silence until I asked about the Adderall, then went off on his senile rant.... And a taper is not possible. The refill was supposed to be today or tomorrow, I have ONE left. Thanks for your time, but this is NOT helpful. And, I know you are doing all you can.... I just don't understand how they would let someone like that into the medical field.
