What Are The Symptoms Of Cold Sore After Initial Exposure?
Question: Hello,
I have recently met a girl for dating. We met only twice. She just gave me five or six kisses on my lips little deeply unexpectedly yesterday. This morning she mentioned to me that she has a cold sore HSV1. I have told her many times that I don't want her to kiss me if she has a cold sore. However, she lied and its past now. I am scared to death now. I didn't see any visible symptoms on her lips. However, I know cold sore is very contagious while kissing. Please let me know what are my chances of getting it. I know I have to wait at least 4 weeks for testing. I have started getting cold in a day now. What are the symptoms of cold sore after initial exposure? Am I in a very vulnerable position?

Cold sore is common nuisance for many. It is not a such a dangerous disease to be scared.
If your partner had an recent recurrence of cold sore (within a week or 10 days), then there is a chance for you to get infected. Otherwise your risk for cold sore is unlikely.
If anybody got infected, the individual may likely to get a tingling sensation initially, followed by appearance of vesicles (blisters), subsequently leads to ulcers or sores lasting for a week and not more than that. There are wonderful drugs or creams available to reduce the severity of cold sores. So nothing to worry.
