Brief Answer:
Why worry about bladder cancer specifically.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Igrowe and welcome to HCM.
Well your anxiety about cancer is understandable.
Why are you having a Cat scan (CT scan), is not clear. Only routine.?
Smoking and family history, does carry a high risk for developing bladder cancer, and good that you're a non-smoker. But why are you worried about bladder cancer.?
Usual symptoms of bladder cancer are blood, clots, fleshy bits in the urine, frequency of passing urine and pain in lower abdomen. Once theese develop, it has to be confirmed by several other tests. But as an Urologist, let me assure you that few people develop bladder cancer.
Feel free to contact me any time.
Wish you well.
