Brief Answer:
Following are the symptoms of pneumonia.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir, Hi
Welcome to HCM.

The most common symptoms of pneumonia include:

Cough with or without sputum (yellowish-green)
Fever with chills
Chest pain which increases on breathing or coughing
Rapid breathing and shortness of breath
Sweating and clammy skin
Loss of appetite and confusion especially in elderly

These symptoms are variable depending on whether pneumonia is bacterial or viral.

Bacterial pneumonia: temperature can be as high as 105 degrees F with profuse sweating, and rapidly increased breathing and pulse rate there may be associated confusion or delirium.

Viral pneumonia are the same as influenza symptoms: fever, a dry cough, headache, muscle pain, and weakness. Within 12 to 36 hours, there is increasing breathlessness; the cough becomes worse and produces a small amount of mucus.

Hope this answers your query.

Wishing you a very good health.
