Any head injury should be carefully monitored for the first 24 hours to look for any concerning symptoms.

The symptoms which are considered alarming after a head injury are the following
1. Worsening headache or neck pain
2. Loss of consciousness
3. Loss of balance and inability to maintain posture
4. Persisting giddiness and vomiting
5. Speech problems
6. Irritability and change in behavior.
7. Visual disturbances

If your grand daughter is having any of the above alarming symptoms then please take her to emergency room and doctors will examine clinically and recommend a CT scan brain if required.
